PIANIST RESOURCE REVIEWS
========================
The Lester S. Levy Collection of Sheet Music
While you'll find a large collection of historical sheet music here (mostly images and only first pages), we
feel that what makes this pianist resource really special is the wonderful attention to detail. The image catalog
consists of hundreds of thumnails from sheet music dating back more than 150 years. If you're looking for music
related images or graphics in particular, these "sets" are organized by topics, such as "Patriotic
Songs", "Minstrels", "Modern Instrumental" making it easy to find what you're looking
for.
Piano Showcase: Online Accessories Shop
Based out of Toronto, Canada, this online shop features a complete catalog for the pianist or technician including
benches, stools, dollies, locks, hinges, piano covers, technical books and tools. All transactions are handled
via a secure server, and a currency converter is readily available for US customers.

ACME CD Manufacturing
If you're looking for someone to manufacturer your CDs and/or cassettes and to create a retail ready package for
you, be sure to check out ACME CD. Their rates are very reasonable, adding up to $1470 for 500 CDs retail ready
CDs. That price includes the works; graphic design, film and match prints. While a small company, ACME works with
ISO9002 certified partners which helps to ensure you receive a quality product. Other services include one-off
CDRs, bulk CDs, and mastering. Nice site, easy to navigate and find information.
Radio and Retail Promotions
Radio and Retail Promotions is run by Jon Flanagan, an experienced music promotion specialist who has in the past
worked on promotions of such acts as RadioHead, the Butthole Surfers and Mary's Danish with labels such as Capitol,
EMI, A&M and Columbia Records. Jon spends a great deal of time with your project, marketing strategies are
custom designed for each release, the goal being to establish name recognition through college & commercial
radio airplay & independent record store promotions focusing on in-store play. How good are they? They have
achieved music industry trade magazine chart positions for every cd they have promoted ! That's good enough for
us! Tell them you heard about them from Rainmusic.com! Reviewed 12/17/98. Tell them you heard about them from Rainmusic.com!
Tracks Online
Tracks is an independent radio show based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The show's focus is new independent music
and they are indeed looking for new music to promote on the air. The Tracks site however, is much more than just
a radio station contact site. Musicians will find album reviews, a database of record labels, and links to many
other resources.

The Digital Scriptorium - Historic American
Sheet Music
We are very pleased to share this great find with you! This site, a project of the Digital Scriptorium (Duke
University) contains a huge library of rare sheet music and manuscripts featuring 19th and 20th century American
music. You'll find over 3000 manuscripts, searchable by subject or date. You can view and download images from
any of the manuscripts presented here free (see their statement on use and reproduction first). Some of the images
from this catalog are a truly amazing look back at American Culture over the last 150 years. A real treasure.
Renegade OLGA Archive
It was a sad day when OLGA (online guitar archive) was taken down by the Harry Fox Agency. For those
who don't know, OLGA was the nets premier source for guitar and bass tablature. The Harry Fox agency forced OLGA
to shut down due to copyright concerns. Well now, OLGAs back, or at least, the tablature's back at this renegade
tablature archive. All files are simple text files containing the lyrics and the chords to popular songs by todays
most popular acts. You'll find the main directory here, an alphabetical
list of files by artist/band name. Enjoy!
