UPDATE ON FEATURED ARTIST DAVID NEVUE
David's new CD, The Vigil is in the final stages of mastering. Look for the new release in April of 1999. During
the last few weeks David signed on as a client with Lonestar Entertainment, a Pacific Northwest talent agency.
Unique to this situation however... the agency sought out David, not the other way around, which is somewhat unusual.
The agency has stated that they are looking to book David for special events. We'll have to wait and see if anything
comes of this. If so, we'll let you know. Pop quiz! Who is Bob Stark? Bob was the engineer for While the Trees
Sleep, The Last Waking Moment, and now, The Vigil. Bob was so impressed with The Vigil, David's last effort, he's
in L.A. shopping the CD to record companies before the album is even released. Will Bob get David "in the
door" of a major record company? Probably not, but it is nice knowing the album is out there getting some
personal attention.

Equal Temperament Services
Essentially, ETS offers a little of everything for the pianist. You'll find a bookstore containing piano-related
merchandise, an active classifieds section for buying or selling your piano, a very nicely done FAQ document about
your piano, as well as listings for piano teachers and technicians. A good, general purpose piano site.
Yamaha Pianos International
Yamaha's International web site features product lines available for their customers in Europe, Japan, Russia,
Latin America and others. Products include the Yamaha "Silent Series", Disklavier, GranTouch, as well
as piano upgrade and expansion devices.

ORION - Music Industry Database
ORION (Official Record Industry Online Network) is perhaps the largest music industry databases of it's kind that
we've run across. You can search for almost anything; Copyright Clearance, Radio Promotion, Music Attorneys, Distribution,
Retail Outlets, Merchandising, Artist Management, and on and on it goes. The database is searchable by category,
company, location, or genre and is highly organized, providing you with contact information as well as web site
links. Very nicely done.
SuperDuper Disc
This CD Manufacturer, based in Manhattan, is run by musicians, artists, and engineers. As such, they seem very
geared toward the musicians needs. Certainly, they can at least understand where you, the musician, is coming from.
SDD Specializes in fast service. They can do a 500 CD run for you with a one-day turnaround if need be. They can
also provide graphic design options, printing... the works. Small or large quantities are no problem. Great prices,
nice site, good service.

Free Sheet Music

Daly Music
Daly Music features free public domain music that you can download for piano, guitar, keyboard, clarinet, trumpet,
violin, saxophone, and flute. Topics are sorted by music for children, ragtime, Christmas, original, Classical
and Hymns. You'll also find a searchable database of over 250,000 titles available for purchase through Sheet Music
Direct. Daly Music is also implimenting a new process by where you can view music, hear it live, and transpose
it to any key online. Free sheet music downloads require Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
GMD Music Archive
GMD has a large inventory of free sheet music, including a number of modern composers.
Instrumentation is primarily piano, violin, viola, flute and cello with a few others thrown in for good measure.
There's a ton of music to choose from, including Bach, Beethoven, Bruckner, Schubert, and many, many others. The
sheetmusic is available free for download in a compressed, GZIP format which requires a bit of work on your part. Files are postscript files, and the site does
provide easy to use instructions on printing the files out from a DOS prompt.
