Ariel Publicity
If you're struggling in your effort to generate publicity for yourself or your band, you ought to stop by Ariel's
place and see what they can do for you. Ariel's web site and credentials are most impressive. The list of bands
they've worked with is as long as your arm, and if you question why, just check out the high profile publications
(such as Rolling Stone) with which have placed ads for their clients. Their online press kits are some of the best
we've seen. Services include press kits, tour booking, as well as CD release events and press management.
The Celebrity Cafe
They say you should listend to the "voice of experience." Well, there's a lot of experience to tune into
at The Celebrity Cafe. The site features tons of interviews from celebrities of all walks of life; music, sports,
film, supermodels, record producers and much more. You'll find interviews here with a number of top bands and artists
which will be of interest to musicians. Some examples; Blues Traveller, Blessed Union of Souls, Skid Row, The Young
Dubliners & Jon Secada.
Mysic
Mysic is a nicely done web site for musicians looking to find the basics related to music on
the Internet. You'll find everything from how to find sound files, to information on how to chat with other musicians
via the ICQ network. Mysic also features a number of tools such as the rather unique guitar Chord Finder, a CD
price comparision tool, and a Tablature search tool. Very nicely laid out, easy to navigate and easy on the eyes.
Nashville Song Critiques
If you'd like some feedback on your composition skills, you might want to stop by Nashville
Songs. These song critics have some real experience under their belt including a #1 single in Europe, numerous
song publications, and regular side by side work with well known songwriter Jack Keller. In addition to their songwriting
critique services, you'll find a number of insightful songwriting tips.
Parakeet Publications: E-Studio
If you're a music teacher, Parakeet's E-Studio software is a must see. E-Studio
is a database application available either via CD-ROM or via the Web (yes, they have an online interface!) which
allows you to track all kinds of information quickly. Manage and track your students, lesson payments, expenses,
performance dates and income. E-Studio includes a reporting function (unpaid lessons, performances, student bills,
report cards, lesson finder and more) as well as a calender to keep track of upcoming events. Try out the free
online demo.
Sheet Music USA
Sheet Music USA has some great music theory instruction pages as well as downloadable
sheet music available for both guitarists and pianists. Sheet music includes folk, children and classical tunes,
as well as Christmas music. Each sheet music download is accompanied by a MIDI file for reference.
