Featured Reviews
The Choral Public Domain Library
At CPDL, you'll find about 160 public domain choral works available for download, many of which include piano or
other accompaniment. In addition to familiar names (Bach, Brahms, Mozart, Purcell) you'll find choral music from
earlier composers such as John Bartlet, William Byrd, Josquin, John Dowland, & Thomas Morley. Great site for
fans of early choral music.
Frederic Chopin: Free Sheet Music
If you enjoy playing the music of Frederic Chopin, you may want to check out this site which features a selection
of his etudes and waltzes. Sheet music is downloadable, contained in zipped *.gif files.
Lyrical Line
Here is another fantastic resource for songwriters and lyricists. You'll find essential books on the craft as well
as numerous articles dealing with everything from song structure to becoming a publisher. Check out Lyrical Line's
"Q&A with the Pro's" for a great selection of FAQ's about the business. Need some feedback? Post
your song or lyrics to "Write and Wrong" for your peers to review. Also featured, a fast, easy to use
Rhyming Dictionary, Classifieds, and links to many other resources.
Shareware Music Machine
SMM has long been a key resource for musicians interested in music related software and hardware. If you're looking
for a particular music software title and you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist. You'll find audio
effects processors, internal computer synthesizers, sound generators, drum machines, tuners, MIDI and MPEG players
and editors, as well as sound cards and device drivers for virtually every operating system. SMM is also an invaluable
source of information for beginners as well as the technically inclined. Frankly, there's so much good stuff at
SMM we can't do it justice here. Check it out for yourself. Great site, easy to navigate with an intuitive interface.
