PIANIST RESOURCE REVIEWS
========================
Joe Gargiulo Music Studio
We review a lot of sheet music sources here at RainMusic.com, and while that's fine and dandy after awhile one
sheet music publisher starts looking like any other. After all, most offer the same popular sheet music sets. At
the Joe Gargiulo Music Studio however, you'll find piano music and books designed for the piano student interested
in trying something a little different. For example, check out Keyspace, "new age sounds for early
grades", Thrashing the Classics, containing Jazz solos for intermediate grades, Christmas Jazz Melodies,
For Kids by Kids and more. Each of these piano study books can also be purchased along with tapes demostrating
the music. If you're tired of playing the same old songs, check out your other option at Joe's place.
The Pianoforte Tuners' Association
The Pianoforte Tuners Association (U.K. based), is dedicated to improving standards within the piano industry.
PTA was founded in 1913, and since that time their membership has continued to grow steadily. The PTA site features
a couple of articles on purchasing and caring for a piano, as well as a searchable database of PTA approved piano
tuners and technicans in the U.K.

Absolute Computer Paper
If you're playing around with a layout idea for your new CD release, you may wish you had the ability to
design the layout on your computer AND print it out on a pre-formatted, ready to insert paper. ACP provides you
with exactly that; perferated paper for the printing of your CD folders and booklets. Single sheet and double sheet
versions of these papers are available. Templates for the inserts are available in *.doc (MS Word) format for immediate
download.
SoundClick
SoundClick is an internet radio station geared toward independent music. The site features MusicMix,
a totally cool, uninterrupted internet music radio program featuring independent artists who've submitted their
music to SoundClick. The music is all a RealAudio stream, but the sound quality is superb. Another feature is the
HitZone, where station listeners get to vote on their favorites bands. These votes are "charted",
giving the winners a bit more exposure. SoundClick has received kudos from CNNinteractive, RealAudio Guide, MSN
France, ABC Australia, Infoseek. The service is entirely free for musicians, so artists, send in your CDs. Don't
miss this free opportunity.

Classical Music and Math Scores
A study of the effects of popular and classical background music on the math test scores
of undergraduate students.
Writing a Music Business Plan that Works
A good music business plan is the map to the fulfillment of your goals. Whether you're a band, soloist, production
house or some other business, a plan can turn foggy notions into operational strategies, hunches into actions,
dreams into reality. By Peter Spellman.
