PIANIST RESOURCE REVIEWS
========================
Always Pianos
There are a number of items of interest at Always Pianos but the service they offer that grabbed our attention
was their free piano dating service. If you want to
know how old your piano is, just send them your pianos manufacturer and serial number and they will email you with
the details. Of course, Always offers other services including an active classified adverting board for those looking
to buy or sell a piano. They also are willing to answer any questions you might have about your piano.
Piano Practive Methods Home Page
This keyboard study by professor Brent Hugh contains a vast collection practice ideas observed over many years
of piano playing, teaching, and learning. The object of this study is, of course, a discussion of how to improve
learning time and accuracy. One interesting idea pointed out in the article is that a practice technique useful
when learning Bach may not help you much with Debussy. So how do you know how best to approach a piece? This study
demonstrates some great ideas, in an easy to read and easy to do fashion. Techniques include Section Practice,
Whole-Part-Whole, Finger Groups, Metronome and many, many more. Very good reading. Piano teachers
and students will find the site very informative.

Boston Music Home Page
If you're in the Boston, MA area you simply must check out Dick and Bert's Boston Music pages. You'll find
everything here, from Booking and Management organizations in the area to clubs, record labels, bands, studios,
zines, and of course radio stations. The Boston Music home page is one of the most complete guides to the music
community for any one city we've seen. If only every major city had such a site!
CosmicRadio
CosmicRadio (also known as Worldwide-Radio.com) is an internet based radio station offering music to
over a million listeners per week. For musicians, Cosmic-Radio offers a free opportunity to get your music heard.
Music submitted to the station not only get's airplay, but gets some promotion through their bi-weekly newsletter
and radio playlist. If you wish, you can also put your CD in their online record store. Though the fee for this
service is $99 for two years, this fee includes a number of other benefits, such as an 800 number where anyone
can call to order your music. Cosmic Radio will also back announce your song every time it's played (guaranteed
at least once every 5 hours) and provide you with your own page on their store. Check out CosmicRadio. At the very
least you might be able to get some airplay out of the deal.
