Based on the Psalms, The Vigil grants the listener
an intimate and unusual look into Nevue's personal prayer life. While his piano music has always been spiritual
in nature, The Vigil seems especially focused.
Review: "The Vigil chronicles the passage of a sleepless night, starting at about midnight
and ending with the following dawn. Although there is a restless turbulence in many of the songs, there is also
a sense of introspection and of a coming peace. The pieces were inspired by events in Nevue’s spiritual life, and
are heavily influenced by The Psalms. With or without the religious context, the music is so heartfelt and sincere
that not a note seems out of place. This is an exceptionally fine solo piano album, and I highly recommend it!

The Last Waking Moment is a thematic work based on a lucid dream David's wife experienced several years ago.
The dream, an intense vision of a face to face meeting with Christ, had a profound effect on his wife Julie as
well as David himself. The music on The Last Waking
Moment follows the dream journey though the "Shadowlands"
to "The Gathering Fields".
Review: "Tracking this impressive
pianist's musical journey has been like peeling an onion. Pull one layer and another emerges. With this outing,
Nevue goes even deeper into his gently modulating stylings to caress originals that invite romance in a wintry
setting. Maturation is evident everywhere. Although Nevue still occassionally reveals his debt to pianists like
George Winston, his own voice emerges here through statements that are clear, direct, personal and attractive."

Fans of pianist George Winston will be drawn to David Nevue's
haunting CD, While the Trees Sleep. Heartsong Review raves: "Nevue's music flows with liquid
grace and dances in the light and shadow of the trees he loves... always beneath the winter timbre of his melodies
there is the green of spring waiting to grow again."
Review: "While the Trees Sleep
makes me want to curl up in front of the fire, push the 'repeat' button on the CD player and listen all night long

The Tower,
based on the short story of the same name, tells the classic 'Princess & Tower' fable from the Princess' perspective.
This, mixed in with a clever analogy of the Christian faith, makes 'The Tower' a very promising debut. Pure joy
for piano music lovers.
Review: "Join the storyteller
of song and prose as he takes you on a journey of betrayal, hatred, love and hope within the lives of a prince,
princess, knight and king. The characters in this fairy tale kingdom... connect the majestic, sometimes hauntingly
romantic ten pieces Nevue performs. Wonderfully pleasant listening whether occupied or focused." -Heartsong Review |
